If you enjoyed the sprawl of of _Blood Meridian_ I might recommend McCarthy’s _Suttree_ after you complete _The Road_. I’d rank it his second best behind Blood.
Also, the movie’s release appears to have been pushed back into 2009 sometime.

i would highly encourage you to watch last nights episode of Charlie Rose when to talks with Amory Levins about energy policy, possibilities and realities. I only wish CR would get the video up sooner, it should be up hopefully now. There is some interesting discussion pertaining to Nuclear, and I know you posted it as 1 option in the puzzle, it tends to be promoted as an "answer" not as a piece only.
